What this site is
Independent, source-cited practical guides for Thai travellers visiting China on their own. Most content for this audience is written in English and assumes you already know how things work there. Very little is written in Thai, and almost none of it covers the cities Thai visitors are actually growing to visit. That gap is what this site covers.
Why two languages
The Thai edition is the one that matters for readers. The English edition exists for a different reason: AI search tools index English far more reliably, so when someone asks an assistant a question this site answers, the answer can lead back here. Both editions carry the same facts and the same dates.
Editorial principles
- Sourced and dated. Every factual claim about a fee, a policy, or a feature carries a source and a date. Chinese payment and entry rules change frequently; undated advice is worse than no advice.
- No invented claims. We do not publish a tip we have not verified, or seen a first-hand report of.
- Additive, not promotional. A page that reads like an advertisement wastes your time. If it is mostly promotion, we do not publish it.
- Uncertainty is stated. Where we could not verify something, we say so rather than filling the gap.
How we make money
We earn an affiliate commission from Trip.com when you book a hotel through our links. This costs you nothing extra — the price is the same either way.
Two things follow from that, stated plainly:
- Some recommendations are bookings on Trip.com, and we say so at the top of the article — not next to the hotel name.
- Recommendations are ranked by fit for your trip, never by how much we earn. We will recommend a hotel we do not earn from if it is the better fit.
What we do not do
We are a content site. We do not:
- book, change, or cancel any reservation
- arrange travel, guides, or tours
- handle your money, cards, or documents
- give visa or entry eligibility decisions
- sell editorial coverage, or accept payment for placement
Nothing on this site is a travel product. If a problem needs a human to act on your behalf, this site cannot help — and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise.
What we cannot promise
We are not affiliated with the Chinese government, Trip.com, or any payment provider. Rules described here reflect public sources as of the date shown. Always confirm with the official source before you rely on it — especially visa and entry rules, which change with notice.
